Water is essential for bathing and drinking thoughout the year . Provide water in a shallow container,  preferably with sloping sides and no deeper than 5cm(2in) . During frosty weather ,remove ice so the birds can continue to have access to water . Scrub out and replace with clean water regularly during the year to reduce the spread of avian flu.
